- School to add Year 9 and new secondary campus in August 2026
GEMS Royal Dubai School (RDS), a leading British curriculum school in Dubai, will open a new nursery in January 2026, welcoming children from age two. This move marks a major step in the school’s expansion, ensuring a continuous learning journey from nursery through to secondary.
The new nursery will be located within the secure RDS campus in Mirdif, featuring its own entrance and tailored facilities. It will follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and use a Reggio inspired, play based approach. The nursery will focus on building early communication, social, and cognitive skills in a nurturing setting.
Led by experienced, UK trained Early Years specialists, the nursery promises small class sizes, personalised care, and flexible timings to support working families.
Jan Steel, Principal/CEO of GEMS Royal Dubai School, said, “We’re excited to welcome our youngest learners into the RDS community”. He added, “This nursery lets us offer a complete British education journey from age two in a trusted, familiar environment”.

With a strong reputation for academic excellence and care, RDS continues to grow while staying true to its core values of quality education and community support.
