    • Jobstreet by SEEK extends its CSR partnership with TARA Foundation until July 2026, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive education for underprivileged children in Malaysia.
    • The collaboration enables free after-school tuition, meals, and talent hiring support, impacting over 1,000 students nationwide through 50 sponsored job ads.
    • The renewed partnership strengthens TARA’s 'Mission Zero Dropouts' initiative, leveraging AI-powered recruitment tools to support learning centres and reduce school dropouts in B40 communities.

Jobstreet by SEEK has made an announcement regarding the extension of their partnership agreement with TARA Foundation, reiterating their commitment to education inclusiveness as a corporate social responsibility program focused on the education needs of underprivileged children in the country. This agreement extension comes as a follow-through commitment to the momentum build up in 2023 when these two parties partnered for a common goal of improving education access for less-advantaged children while relieving talent shortages in not-for-profit education institutions.

This partnership allows the TARA Centres to provide free after-school tuition classes and meals to deserving students who require academic support as well as a stable learning environment. During the existence of the partnership, Jobstreet by SEEK has been responsible for the sponsorship of 50 free job ads, which have enabled the TARA Foundation to hire qualified tutors, administrators, and members of support staff. This has directly impacted the foundation's ability to support the learning needs of more than 1,000 students nationwide, thereby emphasizing the importance of hiring the right employees in providing quality learning support.

Under the revived contract effective until 31stJuly 2026, Jobstreet by SEEK is set to continue the free job listing service for the remaining 29 learning centres under the TARA Foundation. In addition to the job listing service, the long-term relationship has also expanded to allow the learning centres access to the latest job search technology from Jobstreet by SEEK this includes artificial intelligence-powered job description help, the use of seekAi for high-fitted candidates, analytics capabilities, and the use of SEEK Pass for authenticity verification.

The partnership also directly contributes to the flagship 'Mission Zero Dropouts' initiative led by the TARA Foundation, which specifically targets the high levels of secondary school dropouts in Malaysian B40 communities. As a significant proportion of the less than 1% of school dropouts who do not come from the B40 community, the initiative plays a critical role in providing these children with structured academic support, nutrition, and emotional support that keeps them in school. The right people, including administrative staff, are a critical enabler of the initiative.

Krishna Raj, the Human Resources Director of TARA Foundation, added that it is essential for the growing number of centres of the organization to have committed personnel who support its cause. The continued support of Jobstreet by SEEK, according to Krishna, remains significant and instrumental in finding for the foundation personnel who identify with its ideals and needs. The initiative is part of a wider commitment of an organization like Jobstreet by SEEK, whose Managing Director, Nicholas Lam, said it is aligned with the organization’s mission to improve the lives of Malaysians, who want to lead a life of purpose and find a career that adds meaning to their existence.

Through this renewed partnership, Jobstreet by SEEK and TARA Foundation prove that even through collaboration between corporations and non-profit groups, significant impact in the nation can be achieved. This particular initiative closes gaps in human capital, enhances development in the workforce, and makes sure that young minds who need it most receive education assistance.
