Malaysia Launches First Student Arrival Hub at KLIA

    • Malaysia has launched the world’s first airport arrival center for international students at KLIA.
    • The centre offers immigration guidance, transport information, and early support to help students settle in.
    • The move strengthens Malaysia’s position as a preferred global education destination.

Malaysia has launched the world’s first International Student Arrival Centre (ISAC) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1. The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), together with Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), introduced the dedicated facility to improve the arrival experience for international students.

Located at the country’s main international gateway, the centre provides structured support from the moment students land. Trained EMGS staff are available 24/7 to guide students through immigration procedures, offer arrival briefings, and provide information on transport to campuses. Students can also access early support services to help them settle smoothly into academic life. Similar services are available at KLIA Terminal 2.

Officials said the initiative reflects Malaysia’s commitment to creating a welcoming and student-friendly education environment. By coordinating efforts across ministries and government agencies, the centre ensures a seamless entry process for students from around the world.

The new hub aims to boost student confidence, improve arrival efficiency, and leave a strong first impression. As Malaysia continues to attract global talent, ISAC is expected to support international students in transitioning quickly into their studies, skills training, and future career pathways.
