- WCC Aeronautical College to open WCC AeroTech University in Phnom Penh.
- Programs to cover aircraft maintenance, avionics, airline operations, and engineering.
- Partnership strengthens Philippine role in global education and skills training.
The Philippines’ WCC Aeronautical and Technological College is set to bring its aviation expertise to Cambodia. The school has signed an agreement with the Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) to establish WCC AeroTech University in Phnom Penh.
The new university will offer degree programs in aircraft maintenance technology, avionics, airline operations management, and aeronautical engineering. It will also provide a certificate course for aspiring flight attendants, opening more career pathways for Cambodian youth.
Philippines’ Department of Trade and Industry Secretary, Cristina Roque said the project highlights the country’s growing influence as a hub for knowledge and skills. “When Filipino schools and professionals share their expertise abroad, it strengthens our global reputation and creates more opportunities for educators, engineers, and service providers,” she said.
WCC president, Raymond Patrick Guico called the partnership a “milestone for Philippine higher education.” He noted that WCC has trained thousands of aviation professionals at home and now aims to deliver the same world class programs in Cambodia.

OCIC vice president Thierry Tea welcomed the move, saying the university will support Cambodia’s human capital development. “This partnership gives Cambodian students access to high quality aviation education while connecting them with Filipino professionals who have a proven record in the industry,” he said.
With this step, WCC is expanding like a global education startup, scaling its expertise to new markets while helping Cambodia prepare its next generation of aviation professionals.
