    • First launch ceremony held at Nam Ly Primary School No. 1, Quang Binh, engaging 800+ students in fun financial literacy activities like quizzes, puzzles, and online games.
    • Program expands nationwide with upcoming events in Hoa Binh and Dong Thap, reinforcing Prudential’s goal of building a financially confident and resilient young generation.

Prudential Vietnam has recorded a new milestone with the Cha-Ching Smart Finance Education Project in its fifth year, having stretched across the North, Central, and Southern regions of the nation. The initiative, which has now provided smart financial management know-how to over 100,000 children and 3,000 educators in more than 300 schools, conducted its inaugural official launching ceremony at Nam Ly Primary School No. 1 in Quang Binh province. The event was graced by the Department of Education and Training of Quang Binh, education officials, school principals, and over 800 students who engaged in a series of interactive activities meant to make financial literacy fun and useful.

The most notable of the ceremony was the interactive game experience zone with a theme of financial management. Students learned through activities like crossword puzzles, quizzes, and the computer game "Financial Adventure with Cha-Ching' which enabled them to practice their mastery of four key financial competencies earning, saving, spending, and donating money. With this 'learning while playing' process, children got exposed to financial knowledge in an interactive and fun manner. After the Quang Binh launch, the same activity is also set to occur in Hoa Binh and Dong Thap provinces in October.

Teachers and stakeholders pointed out the program's importance. Nguyen Thi Huyen, principal at Nam Ly Primary School No. 1, indicated her enthusiasm to incorporate the project into the school's formal curriculum, citing its potential to help students acquire practical skills to face future challenges confidently. Likewise, Doan Bich Ngoc, CEO of JA Vietnam, cited the value of financial education early on and assured continued support from the organization, in partnership with Prudential, to roll out the program across the country.

The Cha-Ching program was initially launched in Vietnam during the 2018-2019 school year as a pilot at 25 schools in Hanoi. Within the next year, the Ministry of Education and Training had formally approved it for use in elementary schools, setting the stage for its phased rollout. Initially, the project focused on northern provinces in order to obtain feedback and track effectiveness. This strategy, over time, permitted the program to tailor its content and pedagogy to accommodate the consumer culture and economic habits of students in various regions.

Five years old now, Cha-Ching has developed into a holistic 360-degree education program. It uses animated musical movies, interactive study guides, web games, financial festivals and competitions, and parent seminars to complement kids' financial knowledge. All this fosters a balanced learning experience that students, teachers, and families can all enjoy.

Prudential Vietnam has chosen Cha-Ching to be a flagship initiative in its education business initiatives with sustainability and scalability at its heart. The repeated requests from localities to perpetuate the program annually reflect its effectiveness and positive impact. As General Director Phuong Tien Minh said, "the high acceptance from students, schools, and society encourage Prudential to continue expanding the program with even more significant activities, with a vision to help raise a financially independent, confident, and resilient younger generation".
