Siam Motors and Thammasat University Strengthen EEC Education Partnership

    Siam Motors Group and Thammasat University have signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen cooperation in education, research, and talent development to support the growth of Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The agreement was signed by Mr. Prakasit Phornprapha, President of Siam Motors, and Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University, in Bangkok.

    The new partnership aims to combine academic expertise with industry experience. It will prepare students for real world challenges and help build a skilled workforce that can contribute to Thailand’s economic progress. The collaboration focuses on five key areas of student internships and human resource development, joint research and innovation, academic services to society, conferences and seminars, and support for sustainable development in the EEC region.

    Mr. Prakasit Phornprapha highlighted the 42 year history between Siam Motors and Thammasat University, noting the company’s longstanding support through land donations, research funding, and scholarships. He said the new MoU marks a renewed commitment to social development and public benefit.

    Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn said the partnership will boost Thammasat University’s capacity, especially at its Pattaya Center, to better support industrial growth in the EEC.

    Siam Motors’ contributions include donating land for the Pattaya Center and Thammasat University Hospital, and funding the Automotive Engineering Operations Building. The group also supports education beyond Thammasat through scholarships and partnerships with other institutions.

    This collaboration reflects Siam Motors’ dedication to fostering a sustainable learning society and supporting Thailand’s future through education and innovation.
