Special Walk-In NRI Certificate Facility for Indian Students in UAE

    • A special walk-in facility will be available on April 4, 2026, allowing students to apply without a prior appointment.
    • The service will be offered across all BLS centres in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, making access easier for students.
    • Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so Class 12 students are advised to arrive early to avoid missing the opportunity.

The Consulate General of India has introduced a special one-time facility for Indian students in Class 12 who require NRI certificates for college admissions in India. The service aims to support students facing time constraints during the admission process.

According to an official update shared on its X handle, students can visit any BLS centre in Dubai and the Northern Emirates on April 4, 2026, to apply for the certificate without a prior appointment. This walk-in arrangement is being offered as an exception due to the urgency of college admissions.

Students must carry their Class 12 mark sheets and proof of college admission to complete the process. Officials have advised students to arrive early, as applications will be processed strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. The Consulate has highlighted that this step is meant to ease the documentation process and ensure students do not miss admission deadlines due to certificate delays.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to support Indian students abroad, especially during critical academic transitions. It also highlights the importance of timely access to essential documents that play a key role in higher education opportunities and career pathways.

Authorities will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates if required. Students are encouraged to stay informed through official channels and ensure they carry all necessary documents when visiting the centres.

This move is expected to benefit many students planning to pursue higher education in India, reducing stress and streamlining the admission process.
