Temple University Japan (TUJ) is set to open its new Hillside Center in August 2026, a modern eight-story building located in Mizonokuchi, Kawasaki, just a short distance from TUJ’s City Campus. The new facility aims to support the university's rapid growth, offering a range of academic programs, including General Education courses, a First-Year Experience program, and Bridge Program courses for students conditionally accepted into TUJ’s undergraduate program.

The Hillside Center is expected to accommodate 800 to 1,000 students each semester, providing them with state-of-the-art learning environments. The building includes 23 modern classrooms with hybrid learning technology, a 300-seat auditorium, a learning center with tutoring and library services, and study lounges. Beyond academics, the Hillside Center will also offer recreational facilities, such as a fitness center, dance studio, music rooms, esports room, and outdoor spaces for student activities.

This expansion follows the opening of a new satellite location in Kyoto and highlights TUJ's commitment to providing global education. The new center will cater to TUJ’s growing student body, which has nearly tripled over the past five years. With its focus on student success, the Hillside Center will help shape the next generation of global leaders by offering academic, social, and professional support.
