Thai Edtech RevisionSuccess Joins SMU's BIG Incubation Program

    • Education tech startup RevisionSuccess, founded by Thai students, expands into Singapore after joining SMU's Business Innovations Generator (BIG) program, aimed at regional growth.
    • The platform's AI-native learning infrastructure offers personalized, adaptive systems, differentiating it from traditional educational tools by placing AI at the core of the learning process.
    • Focused on regional expansion, RevisionSuccess aims to scale across Southeast Asia, leveraging Singapore's strategic position for growth and collaboration with institutions and regional partners.

RevisionSuccess, an education technology startup founded by students in Thailand, has made a significant step forward by expanding into Singapore. This move follows its acceptance into Singapore Management University's Business Innovations Generator (BIG) incubation program. BIG, managed by SMU's Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is a renowned startup pipeline that has helped numerous ventures grow and scale. RevisionSuccess was among the 35 startups chosen from over 200 applicants in the latest intake, which further emphasizes the potential of the company’s unique approach to learning.

Founded in Bangkok, RevisionSuccess initially grew out of frustration with traditional study systems. The startup began as a student project focused on improving revision habits and workflows. As the founders, Phonlawat Sirajindapirom, Co-Founder and CEO, and Chotiwith Chotiheerunyasakaya, Co-Founder and CMO, experimented with various strategies, they realized they were not just solving a minor issue but were identifying deeper structural gaps in the way learning materials were being delivered.

The company's core offering revolves around AI-native learning infrastructure, which distinguishes it from other educational tools that simply add AI features to existing systems. Phonlawat explains that RevisionSuccess is focused on designing systems where machine learning is at the heart of the learning process, enabling personalized learning experiences, adaptive workflows, and more efficient content structuring. “We are not retrofitting AI into old frameworks. We are designing systems where AI is the operating logic. That changes how content is delivered, how progress is measured, and how feedback loops are created”, he said.

As the company continues to grow, it sees Singapore as a strategic base for regional expansion, rather than a replacement for its Thai operations. Phonlawat mentioned that Singapore’s proximity to key investors, policy discussions, and regional partnerships offers the company an ideal environment to scale its product and its vision across Southeast Asia. He stressed that while Thailand remains the company’s foundation, building infrastructure means thinking beyond one country's borders. “Infrastructure, by definition, must scale”, he added.

Being accepted into BIG has given RevisionSuccess the opportunity to refine its model while being surrounded by a community of founders and innovators who think on a regional scale. Chotiwith expressed that while Thailand was the place where they proved the business model worked, Singapore provides the platform to prove that it can scale. He further emphasized the sharpening of standards that comes from being in a regional hub like Singapore. "When you enter a regional hub like Singapore, you are surrounded by founders thinking at cross-border level from day one. That environment sharpens you", he said.

The founders see their journey as an example of how student-led businesses from Thailand can compete on a broader stage. Priyavaran Nantaya, Head of TuaTueng, highlighted the symbolic value of the company’s growth for other youth-led startups in Thailand. He noted that being accepted into BIG challenges the assumption that serious education companies must originate from established markets. “We started as students building for students, he said. Being accepted into SMU BIG shows that youth-led startups from Thailand can compete in regional innovation ecosystems", he said.

RevisionSuccess is now focused on testing its model in different education settings across Southeast Asia. The team aims to establish regional product-market fit while engaging in partnership discussions with institutions and other organizations in the region. Phonlawat explained that their current priority is disciplined execution, stating, 'Vision without execution is noise. This program gives us the structure to convert ambition into measurable progress'.

For RevisionSuccess, breaking beyond Thailand is not the end of the journey but the beginning of a much larger ambition. Phonlawat concluded by stating, 'Our responsibility now is to build systems worthy of that scale'.The company’s growth into Singapore marks the first step in a much broader regional strategy that could reshape how students across Southeast Asia approach learning and revision.
