The WEMP Foundation (WEMP, standing for 'Wellbeing', 'EQ', 'Mental Health' and 'Parenting') and the Rafal Nadal Foundation (RNF) are proud to announce their partnership for promoting complete well-being of children and young people across the globe through Play. Dr. Adrian Cheng, The WEMP Foundation's founder, and Mr. Rafael Nadal, the Rafa Nadal Foundation's founding patron, co-organised 'The Children Ball - A Night of Hope, Strength and Inspiration' at Rosewood Hong Kong on 24th October 2025. They are reshaping geographic boundaries in their joint quest to build an inclusive world for all children and youth.
Millions of young people do not have safe spaces in which they can learn, develop, and flourish. Through their collaboration, these two organisations seek to 'break down barriers' in these disadvantaged communities-by using 'sports and play' as catalysts for 'education, mental health support, and empowerment'.
Dr. Adrian Cheng has invited Rafael Nadal as a co-host of The Children Ball 2025. The duo started their collaboration with the opening of Asia's first and sole Rafa Nadal Tennis Center Hong Kong under Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Hong Kong. Dr. Cheng and Mr. Nadal are passionately committed to the mission, both holding a deep conviction that investing in children's welfare is instrumental in developing a better future for society.
Not only does the collaboration reflect their like-mindedness, but it also underscores the importance of community engagement in charitable actions. Hong Kong stands poised to become a global philanthropic hub, with a robust financial ecosystem and over 10,000 tax-exempt charities already in the city.
