At the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Fujairah's Young Techpreneurs was launched today at Zayed Educational Complex in Fujairah Emirate.
The project, which is being organized by the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah in partnership with Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), will last for three months and entails the involvement of 244 students, comprising 130 boys and 114 girls, from the youth of Fujairah.
Dr Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, highlighted that the initiative aligns with the Crown Prince's instructions to maximize the role of the youth in spearheading the digital future. This is a part of the ongoing development transformations in the emirate in all the important sectors, in support of the UAE's competitive indicators in its vision for current and future development sectors.
Al Zeyoudi further stated that the initiative has garnered a wide response from the youth of Fujairah between the ages of 7 and 15 from different regions, indicating their interest in enhancing their skills and deriving benefits from the knowledge and experience provided by the programme in the fields of technology, innovation, and creativity.
This pioneering endeavor, which has been implemented by a group of experts and professionals in the technological field for more than three months, provides a complete learning platform that integrates both theoretical and practical knowledge in an interactive setting for students.
The program seeks to assist participants in gaining advanced abilities and investigating domains like cybersecurity, coding, and artificial intelligence to enable them to build their capacities. It further depends on a combined, practical model of learning that involves workshops and simulations on programming and AI.
Participants at the conclusion of the initiative will be awarded certification by Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), the first UAE accredited smart university.
