Ajman University Brings US Generative AI Leadership Programme to UAE

Ajman University Executive Education (AUEE) and Eller Executive Education (EEE) of the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to introduce the flagship U.S. Generative AI Leadership Accelerator (GALA) programme to the United Arab Emirates. The partnership marks the first delivery of the programme in the Middle East and aligns with the UAE’s drive to position itself as a global artificial intelligence hub.

The MoU was formalised by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, and Dr. Joe Carella, Chief Learning Officer of Eller Executive Education. It establishes a structured framework for delivering executive education focused on generative AI and building leadership capabilities across government and industry sectors in the region.

As the UAE advances its national AI strategy, organisations face growing pressure to move beyond experimental adoption. Leaders must decide where generative AI creates genuine value, establish clear governance and accountability frameworks, manage institutional change, and ensure measurable business or public-service outcomes. The UAE edition of GALA has been specifically adapted for the regional context.
