The Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), in association with top institutions such as AICTE, the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), AACSB, CIMP-BIIF, Institution Innovation Council, and MSME, conducted a high-impact Faculty Development Programme on July 30, 2025. The program was based on the changing notion of Management and the Value Stick in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and was conducted at the CIMP campus.
The function was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, Prof. Cheul Rhee, Professor of E-Business, Ajou University, South Korea, Prof. Amitabh Keshav, ISO Evaluator and Invigilator at Kyonggi University, Seoul, South Korea, Prof. Byeong Yun Chang, Dean of the Graduate School of International Studies at Ajou University, Kumod Kumar, CAO, CIMP and Prof. Sunil Kumar, Professor of Practice and Associate Dean at CIMP.
Greeting guests, Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, emphasized the institution's resolve towards imparting quality education based on practical exposure. "CIMP always encourages learning beyond theory. Such events facilitate credible academic interaction and skill enhancement for the faculty as well as students", he said. He announced with pride the launch of Georgia Tech University's Indian campus at CIMP and the new exchange programme with Ajou University, South Korea. "South Korea is number 6 in innovation globally. Picking up lessons from their emphasis on quality and skill-based education will be of great value", he further added.

The keynote session was hosted by Prof. Cheul Rhee, Ajou University E-Business Professor, South Korea, and he presented information on the Value Stick model of management. Highlighting the importance of product presentation, he observed, "Packaging has a massive effect on customer interaction. Development of skills and cross-country academic cooperation will drive both our countries forward".
Adding to the conversation, Prof. Amitabh Keshav, ISO Evaluator and Invigilator, Kyonggi University, Seoul, said, "India has plenty of products, and Korea is great at packaging. Together, we can make great synergies. India's young talent and Korea's need for skilled manpower make our synergy very promising".
Prof. Byeong Yun Chang, Dean of Graduate School of International Studies at Ajou University, told students to sharpen their strengths. "Management is not ideation; it's execution. Know your capabilities and do it", he advised.
Wrapping up the event, Prof. Sunil Kumar, Professor of Practice and Associate Dean, CIMP, presented the vote of thanks. "South Korea has surged forward, registering tenfold economic growth in forty years. Exchange programmes such as these open up transformative possibilities for our students to learn and innovate," he said.
The program was a milestone in CIMP's attempts to promote international academic partnerships and excellence in the field of management and innovation.
