- Singapore expands its TIP Alliance program to 'TIP Alliance+' to strengthen tech education and career pathways for graduates in digital fields
- Led by Infocomm Media Development Authority, the initiative now includes university graduates and offers industry-linked training and government tech exposure
- The program introduces a Tech Elevation & Career Hub with job listings, internships, and skill-based hiring support to boost Singapore’s digital workforce readiness
Singapore is taking a major leap in digital talent development as Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information and Health, announced the expansion of the TIP Alliance program under the Infocomm Media Development Authority. The upgraded initiative, now called TIP Alliance+, is designed to strengthen tech education in Singapore by extending structured career pathways and industry exposure to include not only ITE and polytechnic students but also local university graduates in information and digital technology fields.
Led by the Infocomm Media Development Authority, the enhanced program aims to bridge the gap between education and employment in Singapore’s fast-evolving digital economy workforce. Through hands-on training, structured learning modules, and deep industry collaboration, TIP Alliance+ is expected to significantly boost career readiness for tech graduates over the next three years.
A key highlight of the expansion is the introduction of new initiatives such as the Government Tech Pathway, developed in collaboration with Government Technology Agency of Singapore and the Singapore Computer Society. This pathway will give students direct exposure to public sector tech systems, governance frameworks, and compliance environments, preparing them for roles in both government and private tech companies.

Another major addition is the Tech Elevation and Career Hub, created in partnership with NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute). This centralized digital platform will serve as a one-stop gateway for tech jobs in Singapore, internships, training opportunities, and career resources, with around 800 job and internship openings available at launch.
Since its introduction in 2022, TIP Alliance has already proven its impact by generating over 1,000 tech job opportunities and facilitating more than 2,300 long-term internships, while encouraging over 200 employers to adopt skills-based hiring practices instead of traditional qualification-focused recruitment.
With TIP Alliance+, Singapore is now scaling this model to a wider pool of graduates and building future-ready talent pipelines across sectors like financial services and healthtech. The initiative reflects a broader national push toward strengthening digital skills development, ensuring that fresh graduates can transition smoothly into meaningful and industry-relevant tech careers.
