Instructure, the global edtech ecosystem and creator of Canvas learning management system (LMS), has opened its Asia hub with the inauguration of a new office in the Philippines. Instructure stated in a statement that this strategic milestone is in support of Instructure's mission to create a globally connected, future-ready edtech ecosystem that is ahead of the needs of educators and learners.
This investment in Asia is a sign of Instructure's passion to serve educators and learners all over the world. Instructuring serves millions of users in 19 countries in this region, and through technology, it seeks to truly magnify human potential at each learning stage.
Based in Quezon City, the new office supports Instructure's capacity to provide region-level services, including information technology (IT), human resource (HR) and marketing to its expanding customer base, while complementing Canvas's worldwide 24/7 support model for educators and institutions.
The move is at the heart of Instructure's global expansion, with Asia as a leading growth market, the statement said. In addition, education technology is propelling swift transformation and opening education up more than ever before in Asia. Most significantly, Instructure has now introduced IgniteAI, its next grand innovation for safe, in-context artificial intelligence (AI) for education providing a future‑prepared ecosystem that enables learners to succeed in an extremely dynamic and transforming world.

Harrison Kelly, Asia Pacific (APAC) managing director at Instructure, shared that the company has seen strong momentum across the region, with consistent double-digit growth among institutions leading digital transformation and embracing a culture of lifelong learning.
“While Canvas entered the Asian market almost a decade ago, the education sector has matured significantly, through innovative AI technology integrated in Canvas LMS, we're growing the ways we work with institutions throughout the region. Multiple institutions are interested in taking their offerings to the next level to enable lifelong learning and prepare learners to serve the needs of local and global employers," Kelly stated.
As part of its expansion in the region, Instructure has generated nearly 200 jobs for local talent across multiple functions, establishing it as a long-term partner in the education ecosystem of the region.
Institutions across the Asia Pacific region, including best-rated universities in the Philippines like Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas, have embraced and implemented Instructure's flagship product, Canvas LMS.
