Nanyang Technological University, Singapore is set to launch eight new artificial intelligence-focused professional programmes in 2026 to meet the growing demand for AI expertise across industries. These courses will be offered under NTU’s SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP), which supports mid-career professionals looking to reskill or pivot into technology-driven roles. Designed to run between three and six months, the programmes aim to provide practical AI skills directly aligned with emerging workforce needs.
Among the new offerings are the Advanced Professional Certificate in AI Engineering and the Advanced Professional Certificate in AI-Powered UX Design and Digital Product Strategy. The AI Engineering programme is tailored for professionals aspiring to take on roles such as AI Applications Engineer, AI Integration Engineer, or Full-Stack Developer with AI expertise. Participants will learn to apply AI models, develop AI-enabled applications, and complete a capstone project where they design, build, and deploy an AI-powered application.

The AI-Powered UX Design and Digital Product Strategy programme focuses on integrating AI into product discovery, user research, analytics, and digital product design. Participants will gain hands-on experience using data and AI tools to design and prototype digital products, culminating in a capstone project that blends research, design, and product development. Both programmes reflect the increasing need for applied AI skills as organisations accelerate digital transformation and incorporate AI-driven solutions in their operations.
The announcement coincided with NTU Alumni Learning Day 2026, themed 'Thrive 360- Grow, Lead, and Live Well', which brought together alumni, industry leaders, and experts to discuss career resilience and lifelong learning in a rapidly changing workplace. Guest-of-Honour Desmond Tan delivered the keynote address and joined a panel discussion on skills for professional adaptability.
Alumni speakers included Carolyn Choo and Steven Lim, sharing insights on career development and leadership. Attendees also explored NTU’s lifelong learning ecosystem through interactive booths representing the NTU Academy of Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), Nanyang Executive Education at NTU’s Nanyang Business School, and the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), highlighting opportunities to upskill and stay competitive in an AI-driven world.
