Malaysia-based Sasbadi Holdings Berhad has signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Intel Microelectronics (M) Sdn Bhd and Maistorage Technology Sdn Bhd to explore AI-enabled education solutions for Southeast Asia. Signed on January 28, 2026, the MOU sets the groundwork for collaboration in edtech, starting with Malaysia.
The partnership aims to develop hybrid and offline-first learning environments that ensure access to digital education even in low-connectivity areas. By combining technology with high-quality K-12 content, the initiative seeks to enhance learning outcomes while equipping students and educators with future-ready digital skills.
Intel will provide technology expertise, Maistorage will contribute AI platforms and digital infrastructure, and Sasbadi will supply educational content. A major focus will be a Content Access Point platform, enabling local caching and offline access to learning materials. The collaboration will also explore AI-powered, on-device learning tools for real-time support and co-develop localized education solutions aligned with national education frameworks across Southeast Asia.

Sasbadi said the MOU supports its long-term digital growth strategy and enhances content accessibility through hybrid learning infrastructure. The agreement is non-binding except for standard clauses, with any commercial rollout subject to future agreements. Valid until June 30, 2027, the MOU reflects the growing demand for AI-driven education models that build digital and job-ready skills for learners in the region.
