The C-Clarke International Institute of Digital Sciences has intensified efforts to build Sri Lanka’s digital talent pipeline by organising a series of free, industry-focused technology workshops.
More than 250 students, graduates, professionals, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts participated in two full-day workshops held earlier this year. The first workshop on Flutter mobile application development equipped around 120 participants with hands-on skills in building commercially viable mobile apps, covering modern software architecture, user interface design, and deployment practices.
The second workshop, held on June 14, focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Approximately 130 participants successfully built their own AI assistants that run locally on laptops, gaining practical exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies.
Participants came from diverse backgrounds, including school leavers, university undergraduates, career changers, and startup founders, reflecting widespread interest in digital transformation across Sri Lanka.

On July 5, the institute conducted its third free workshop on React Frontend Development. C-Clarke International Institute stated that such community-driven initiatives are essential to prepare Sri Lanka’s workforce for the global digital economy.
By training more software engineers, AI specialists, and tech entrepreneurs, the country can drive innovation, attract foreign investment, generate high-value employment, and enhance its global competitiveness.
The institute plans to continue offering free workshops to support Sri Lanka’s long-term digital and economic growth.
