DBS Global University (DGU) has been awarded the SAP University Alliances Educational Excellence Award APAC 2026 at the SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2026 held in Indonesia. The recognition places the university among leading higher-education institutions across the Asia-Pacific region, covering India, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Dr Navjyoti Singh Negi, Associate Dean, accepted the award on behalf of the university before educators, academic leaders and technology experts from across the region. The honour validates a vision the institution set nearly two decades ago: to gain global recognition for quality education that embraces emerging technologies and innovation while preparing future leaders for a sustainable world.
For B.Tech and business students, the award carries practical meaning. SAP systems power core operations in finance, supply chain, manufacturing, human capital, customer experience and business intelligence across a large share of global enterprises. Graduates who can implement, configure, integrate and maintain these systems fill specialised roles that differ from generic IT hiring. These include ABAP and RAP developers, SAP BTP and Fiori developers, integration engineers, HANA data and analytics engineers, functional-technical consultants, and emerging agentic AI and automation positions that embed AI copilots into enterprise workflows.
A computer-science graduate can pick up a web framework quickly. Learning how a procure-to-pay cycle functions or what fails in a production-planning run requires access to live enterprise systems and faculty with real experience. At DGU, students receive both. They work in live SAP environments, use ERPsim business simulations developed at HEC Montréal, complete a dedicated course on SAP Build Code, SAP Build Apps and Copilot Joule delivered by a certified trainer, and gain analytics exposure through the university’s alliance with SAS, United States. The result is graduates who can write code and understand the business purpose behind it a combination recruiters find consistently scarce.
DBS Global University has held membership in SAP University Alliances since 2009. This long-term engagement connects classroom learning with digital business environments used across global industries. Technology is no longer treated as a standalone subject. The university integrates enterprise systems, artificial intelligence and analytics across its academic ecosystem so that engineering students solve organisational problems, business students work with data, and management students operate enterprise platforms.

Faculty with industry experience and domain experts deliver specialised modules. Students learn not only the technology but also business functions, organisational workflows and data-driven decision-making. The SAS alliance adds predictive modelling, business intelligence and AI-supported decision tools, creating a connected learning environment focused on how technology operates inside modern organisations.
Industry engagement provides the clearest measure of relevance. For more than 17 years, DGU has prepared students for SAP-oriented careers. Organisations including BP, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, Infosys, EY,
Tech Mahindra and HCLTech have recruited its graduates for specialised SAP roles. The continuity of these placements over more than a decade shows that enterprise education at the university is an established ecosystem rather than a short-term response to market trends.
India possesses one of the world’s largest young talent pools. Closing the gap between classroom knowledge and workplace expectations requires universities, technology providers and industry partners to build connected learning systems. Enterprise platforms expose students to the actual processes that run finance, supply chains, human resources and decision-making. As artificial intelligence reshapes roles, the challenge for universities is to produce graduates who can learn continuously and lead through change.
DBS Global University’s approach AI integration, enterprise technologies, analytics, experiential projects, industry links and international academic exposure aims to address these expectations. Global recognition today is defined less by geography and more by how effectively an institution connects students to the technologies, industries and opportunities shaping the world. The SAP University Alliances Educational Excellence Award APAC 2026 signals that the university intends to remain part of that transformation.
