First Open House at King's College UK, Gurugram Highlights International Education

    King's College UK, Gurugram, achieved a milestone by successfully organizing its very first Open House. The event brought together families, students, and teachers to its brand-new Indian campus, giving them a peek into the glorious British institution's fusion of tradition and contemporary educational methodologies. The event created a standard for international school events in North India, positioning King's College as a serious contender for world-class, future-centric education for families.

    Set in the picturesque Aravali mountain range's background, the Gurugram campus has launched its inaugural academic year for 2025–26 and is already a candidate school for the IB Primary Years Programme, seeking IB World School authorisation. The Open House was the first formal event where parents and the school community came together. It started with a student musical performance and progressed to guided tours, classroom workshops, and open forums.

    Head Master Dirk Leidinger, who has been in education for many years in Germany, spoke about the importance of international citizenship and cultural exchange during his speech, calling the Open House an opportunity for parents, students, and faculty to engage meaningfully with each other. He also underlined the central position of teachers as pillars of the organization, introducing them to parents during the session. Ankit Jain, Managing Trustee of the school, also interacted with students, fielding questions and promoting discussion.

    The parents commended the school for transparency and hospitality, acknowledging the elaborate demonstration of academic and non-academic services cutting across departments in transport, admissions, accounts, and security. Students expressed enthusiasm for the school's integrated learning modules, extra-curricular activities, and global exchange programmes that reflect the philosophy of King's College.

    Guests toured the school's cutting-edge facilities, such as arts and sports centers, technology-enabled classrooms, a discovery room, and a contemporary library, all intended to foster innovation and creativity. The atrium with high-end air purification systems provides a healthy and clean environment for learning.

    Implementing an internationally accepted curriculum following the IB structure and getting students ready for IGCSE, A Levels, and the IB Diploma, King's College UK, Gurugram, has embarked on developing leadership, resilience, and creativity. With a mix of Indian and international faculty members, the school intends to offer a stimulating and world-focused learning ecosystem to its students.
