Rashid and Latifa Schools Establishment (RLSE) has notified that scholarship applications for British curriculum students joining Years 7, 8, and 9 in the academic year 2026-2027 will be made available from October 6, 2025. Applicants must be academically gifted Emirati and expatriate students, affirming RLSE's function in enhancing the educational sector in Dubai, Dubai Media Office stated in a handout.
Mr Ahmed Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, Chairman of the Rashid and Latifa Schools Establishment, said the school's masterplan is informed by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to place high-quality, results-focused education at the top of its agenda.
He mentioned that the scholarship program demonstrates RLSE's dedication to the Education Strategy 2033, which was launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, to deliver student-centric learning, help nurture the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and Dubai Social Agenda 33, and enhance human capital for the future of the emirate.
Established in the early 1980s, more than 2,000 students, ministers, senior government officials, entrepreneurs, and community leaders have been educated by Rashid School for Boys and Latifa School for Girls, with graduates making up 19% of the UAE Cabinet.

Dr Rabaa Al Sumaiti, RLSE CEO, reiterated the emphasis of the institution on merging academic excellence with national identity. "The Leadership Diploma that is exclusively offered in conjunction with secondary qualifications mirrors the emphasis on the development of the character, critical thinking, innovation, and leadership qualities of students in alignment with the vision of Dubai and the UAE towards fostering a globally competitive generation", she added.
Dr Al Sumaiti further added that RLSE's comprehensive approach balances studies with life skills. "The college gives students a quality learning experience that instils discipline, responsibility and initiative, making them capable of contributing effectively to society and the country", she added. The selection process for scholarships will involve the best-performing students both Emirati nationals of Dubai and expatriate residents on the basis of rigorous academic and leadership standards. Leadership skill, sports, entrepreneurship, technology, artificial intelligence, art, creativity, public speaking, and Arabic skills will also be taken into consideration.
The applications become available on 6 October and run through 7 November, and must be received solely through the school's official website. Candidates will be screened to meet RLSE standards.
