- The partnership will support IIoT-led sustainability projects focused on energy efficiency and carbon reduction
- Students will gain hands-on learning and industry exposure through internships and real-world projects
- The Green Data Centre will serve as a live innovation lab for testing and applying IIoT solutions
Technology solutions provider ThinkPalm Technologies has partnered with Nanyang Polytechnic to strengthen Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) innovation and sustainability efforts in Singapore. The collaboration aims to connect classroom learning with real-world applications, preparing students with future-ready technical skills.
The partnership, formalized through a memorandum of understanding, will position NYP as a reference campus for IIoT-enabled sustainability solutions. ThinkPalm’s IIoT platform will power practical use cases focused on improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon impact.
As a first step, ThinkPalm will deploy its IIoT system at NYP’s Green Data Centre. The initiative will demonstrate how smart technologies can optimize energy use and enhance operational performance. The facility will also act as a learning hub for students, small businesses, and industry professionals. In later phases, the technology may expand to engineering classrooms and specialized labs.
