HeritageSG and Tencent have announced a strategic partnership aimed at integrating immersive, game-based learning and conversational AI into Singapore’s museums and heritage programs. The collaboration kicks off with the launch of WonderBot 2.0 at the Children’s Museum Singapore (CMSG), a significant milestone in enhancing the educational experience through technology.
This move is part of Tencent’s broader commitment to supporting the cultural and arts sector in Singapore, with the company having contributed over S$750,000 in technology and cash support in 2025 to enhance digital initiatives in the country’s museums. Tencent has committed to continuing this support for the next two years, furthering its contribution to Singapore’s cultural development.
WonderBot 2.0 represents Tencent’s first social impact collaboration in Singapore. It is powered by the company’s advanced digital avatar, 3D modeling, and semantic understanding technologies, creating an interactive and voice-responsive experience for young visitors. Through this innovative platform, children can engage in personalized learning journeys, participate in interactive missions, and have natural, conversational exchanges with the bot, all while exploring museum stories in an intuitive way.
This marks a transformation from traditional museum visits into dynamic, interactive learning experiences that captivate and educate in equal measure. Murphy Zhao, Country Manager of Tencent Singapore and Head of Global Game Technology, Tencent, expressed the company’s excitement about the launch, stating, “Drawing on Tencent’s deep experience in game technology, interactive design, and digital cultural preservation, we wanted to help create a museum experience that feels responsive, engaging, and playful. As Tencent Singapore recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, we’re proud to contribute to the development of a digitally inclusive and culturally connected society for the next generation”.
The launch of WonderBot 2.0 also sets the stage for future innovations. Through this partnership, HeritageSG plans to pilot and scale digital initiatives across its various programs and collaborations. This offers an opportunity to work alongside technology partners and local creatives to build shared capabilities and accelerate digital innovation within the cultural sector.

Located on the first floor of CMSG, WonderBot serves as an intelligent companion, guiding children through interactive exhibits and activities. By combining conversational AI with gamified learning, the platform encourages children to explore and discover heritage in a fun and engaging way. The interactive missions, quizzes, and storytelling sessions are designed to align with the child’s age range, ensuring that the experience is both educational and entertaining. WonderBot invites children to ask questions, spark curiosity, and foster a deeper connection with the exhibits they encounter. This initiative embodies the museum’s mission to inspire learning through play, creating a space where children can explore their heritage in a way that resonates with them.
Asmah Alias, Director of Galleries, Exhibitions, and Museums at HeritageSG, highlighted the importance of such collaborations, saying, “Partnerships like this demonstrate how emerging technologies can make heritage learning more engaging and accessible for families and students. The Children’s Museum Singapore is where curiosity takes hold. WonderBot is now more than a mascot it’s a companion that listens, learns, and laughs alongside our visitors. Through this collaboration with Tencent, we want to redefine how children today get to experience our heritage”.
With the official launch of WonderBot 2.0 on February 4, 2026, it will become a permanent feature of CMSG’s interactive experience, offering visitors an innovative way to engage with heritage that blends technology and play. This collaboration between HeritageSG and Tencent is a clear example of how technology can revolutionize educational experiences, making learning not only more accessible but also more enjoyable for the next generation.
