    Uijeongbu City has announced a new Youth Employment and Startup Mentoring Program aimed at strengthening the job competitiveness of unemployed youth and helping them transition more confidently into the workforce. The initiative is designed as a hands-on career development program that connects participants with experienced professionals across industries, offering practical exposure to real-world job roles and expectations.

    The program is open to unemployed job-seeking youth aged 15 to 39 who reside in Uijeongbu, with a total of 60 participants to be selected across two sessions. What sets this initiative apart is its strong industry connection, as mentors include current and former professionals from globally recognized companies such as Toss, Coupang, The Walt Disney Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Kakao, CJ ENM, Millie's Library, and PepsiCo. Their involvement brings valuable industry insights and practical knowledge directly to participants.

    The curriculum focuses on comprehensive employment readiness training, including personal aptitude assessments, career strategy lectures, and one-on-one mentoring sessions such as resume reviews and mock interview feedback. The program is tailored by job function, with the first session covering marketing, IT, and business planning, while the second session focuses on entrepreneurship, content planning, and UX/UI design. Learning will take place through a blended format of in-person training and online mentoring sessions, maximizing accessibility and engagement.

    Applications are open until May 22, 2026, and interested candidates can apply online through official channels. According to city officials, this initiative reflects a broader commitment to expanding youth employment support programs that align with evolving career trends and the real needs of young job seekers.
