- Situation to be reviewed on March 3, with further updates on upcoming exams expected soon.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed Class 10 and Class 12 board exams scheduled for March 2, 2026, in several Middle East countries due to ongoing regional tensions linked to the Iran-US-Israel conflict. The Board said the move aims to ensure student safety while maintaining fairness in the examination process.
The postponement applies to CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. All exams planned for March 2 in these countries will now be rescheduled. Revised dates will be announced soon.
In an official notice issued by Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, CBSE stated that it is closely monitoring the situation. Students have been advised to stay in regular contact with their schools and check official updates for further announcements.

The Board will review conditions again on March 3. A decision regarding exams scheduled from March 5 onwards will be taken after assessing the ground situation. This means additional changes may follow if security concerns continue.
CBSE emphasized that protecting students while ensuring smooth academic progress remains its priority. The Board also reassured students that revised dates will provide adequate preparation time, ensuring no impact on academic performance or future career plans.
