IIM Raipur was accompanied by NIT Raipur and IIT Bhilai in the meeting of leaders from Singapore that concentrated on scopes of research and academic collaborations. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, NIT Raipur, and IIT Bhilai engaged in a high-level discussion with Mr Jerome Wong, Consul (Political), Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore and Ms Ericka, with a view to discuss new opportunities of academic and research collaborations.
The session was held to celebrate 60th anniversary of Singapore-Indian diplomatic relations and aimed at enhancing the cooperation in education, innovation, and skill development, a press release stated.
The meeting was attended by the top institutional leaders such as Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-In-Charge, IIM Raipur, P IMrof. Rajiv Prakash, Director, IIT Bhilai, Dr. N.V. Ramana Rao, Director, NIT Raipur, Mr. Ajit Bhatpahri, GM-CSTDC, Prof. Sumeet Gupta, IIM Raipur, and Dr. Anuj Shukla, NIT Raipur.
While taking part in the discussions, the participants discussed a broad range of possibilities of cooperation between the Government of Singapore and the State Government of Chhattisgarh, the statement further added.

Negotiations were also means of introducing joint courses with the Singapore universities, and increasing the international student exchange programs. The Singapore delegation showed interest in opening up connections between Indian institutes and the Singapore universities, for collaborative research, student exchanges, and dual-degree programs.
The role of data centers and digital infrastructure was also emphasized as an important facilitator of such collaboration. Both.s. reaffirmed the common vision of merging institutions of India and Singapore to mutually contribute towards research, innovation, and sustainable growth.
The objective.for.both.s. was to establish globally relevant programs that prepare students for the future by fusing India's innovation-centric educational institutions with Singapore's expertise in skill-oriented pedagogy and research.
