Navoi State University of Uzbekistan and Calvin University of South Korea have signed a new academic partnership to strengthen education, research, and skill development. The collaboration aims to create more international learning and career opportunities for students and faculty from both institutions.
The agreement was finalized during a meeting between Muhiddin Kalonov, Rector of Navoi State University, and Dr. Hwang Kun-Young, President of Calvin University. Both universities signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and a cooperation agreement focused on long-term academic collaboration.
Under the partnership, the two institutions will conduct joint scientific research, organize international conferences and workshops, and promote faculty and knowledge exchange. These initiatives are expected to improve research quality, encourage innovation, and align academic programs with global standards.
A key highlight of the agreement is the plan to launch a Sejong Institute at Navoi State University in 2026. The institute will support Korean language education and cultural studies, while also strengthening academic links with South Korean universities. It will open new pathways for students and educators in language skills, cultural understanding, and international mobility.
