Global Schools Group (GSG), recognised as the world’s most awarded network of K-12 schools, has officially begun its 25th anniversary celebrations with a dual announcement: a S$100,000 philanthropic commitment to community programmes in Singapore and strategic plans to establish 20 new international school campuses by 2030.
The flagship anniversary event took place in Singapore in the presence of Guest of Honour Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law. During the ceremony, representatives from key beneficiary organisations received donation cheques from GSG. The funds will primarily support enhanced accessibility features in special education schools across East Coast GRC and contribute to inclusive community spaces. Beneficiaries include the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), the President’s Challenge, and the People’s Association through the redevelopment of Siglap South Community Centre.
GSG also announced new long-term community partnerships with the North East Community Development Council (CDC) and the Community Chest, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility alongside educational expansion.
Centred on the theme “One Global Community. Shaping the Future,” the event featured a student-led experiential exhibition and the official launch of a commemorative publication. Minister Tong unveiled the publication, marking the network’s journey from a single local campus to a global system of 64 campuses across 11 countries.
Reflecting on the milestone, Atul Temurnikar, Chairman and Co-Founder of Global Schools Group, said: “Twenty-five years ago, we began our journey with just forty-eight students, driven by a commitment to establish an institution anchored in Singapore’s core principles of academic rigour, meritocracy, and continuous learning. Translating this home-grown educational model across sixty-four global campuses in eleven nations demonstrates the universal appeal of these foundational values. As we embark on introducing our next twenty international locations, our steadfast mission is to empower young leaders for future industries while instilling a profound sense of civic duty and social responsibility.”
The planned expansion targets high-growth education markets across Asia and the Middle East. By 2030, GSG aims to significantly increase its global footprint while maintaining the academic standards and values that have defined its first quarter-century.
GSG’s 25-year record is supported by strong academic results and international recognition. The network recently became the first education group globally to receive Japan’s prestigious Deming Prize for Total Quality Management, bringing its total awards to more than 650.
Recent academic highlights include outstanding performance in International Baccalaureate examinations, where over 150 GSG students scored 44 or 45 points and earned the “IB World Topper” designation. These results have secured placements at leading universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT, the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University.
Alumni are making contributions in advanced technical fields. Notable examples include Kanika Gakhar, Launch Engineer for the SpaceX/NASA Falcon 9 rocket, and Samanyu Okade, Satellite Design Engineer. Current students are also driving innovation: a group of 15-year-olds developed LumaBand, an AI-powered wearable designed to detect and reduce fall risks among elderly citizens.
To prepare its more than 45,000 students for rapid technological change, GSG is establishing specialised research hubs, including the Centre for AI and Quantum Education. A Silicon Valley Innovation Immersion programme for high-performing students further supports exposure to real-world technology environments.

The combination of community investment and ambitious campus growth reflects GSG’s dual focus on academic excellence and social contribution. As the network enters its next phase, the 20 new campuses planned by 2030 are expected to extend its model of rigorous, values-driven education to additional markets while the Singapore-based community pledges strengthen local impact.
