Microsoft is stepping up its AI training efforts in Saudi Arabia, targeting 3 million people to gain AI skills by 2030. The move supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, aiming to create a future-ready workforce and drive economic growth.
A key part of this initiative is the launch of Microsoft Elevate for Educators, which provides free AI credentials, a national learning community, and resources for schools and universities. The program helps teachers and school leaders integrate AI into classrooms responsibly and practically.
Microsoft is also focusing on expanding opportunities for women in AI through targeted programs, mentorship, and job-ready training, aligning with national objectives to increase female participation in technology and high-demand roles.
So far, over 800,000 people have completed AI training in Saudi Arabia, including more than 500,000 educators. Microsoft’s partnerships with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Education, and organizations like SDAIA have helped embed AI and digital skills into education, government, and private sectors.
